An established chef leaves their posh restaurant to cook #burgersforburghers in a greasy spoon cafe, Now Rest in Leith, Edinburgh. A Burgher Burger played host to a different chef every month, with award-winning chefs such as Neil Forbes, Tony Singh, Tony Borthwick, Ed Murray and Dale Mailley and Paul Wedgwood stepping up delivering their ultimate burger meal to an enthusiastic crowd of ravenous Burghers. Tickets were sold in advance, and had an average sell out time of 8 minutes for each event. Burgher Burger even had its own beer, developed in collaboration with Harviestoun Brewery.
During the festivals of August 2012 and 2013 Burgher Burger left its favourite greasy spoon for the refined environment of the Signet Library - burgers, books and beats.
